  OHSU vs UCSF vs University of Washington – top West Coast programs compared

  Applying to Pacific Northwest and California programs this cycle. Trying to compare OHSU, UCSF, and UW as my top three.

  What I know:
  – OHSU (Portland): Strong program, hospital-based training, around 12-15 per cohort
  – UCSF: Extremely competitive, research focus, San Francisco
  – UW (Seattle): Strong academics, VA and academic medical center training

  For those with insight on any of these programs:
  1. What type of applicant does each program seem to prefer?
  2. How does interview day compare?
  3. Clinical site quality and variety?
  4. Cost and stipend situation in each city?

  I have 3.4 GPA, 3 years CVICU, CCRN. Trying to understand which of these is most realistic for my profile versus a stretch.
