Our story
Maghan is a registered nurse, family nurse practitioner, and current SRNA — someone who has lived the ICU grind, navigated every part of the application process firsthand, and knows exactly how scattered and opaque the information can be when you’re trying to build a competitive application while working full-time.
Her husband Ryan holds a doctorate in AI and engineering. When Maghan was going through the process, he started building tools to help her — a program database, a fit score, an interview prep tool. One thing led to another, and Boost CRNA became a real platform.
We live in Virginia with our three kids and our pug. This is a side project built with a lot of care — not a venture-backed startup. When you reach out, you’re talking to us.
Why we built this
The CRNA application process is one of the most competitive in healthcare — programs admit 10–20% of applicants. The difference between accepted and rejected is often not clinical skill. It’s how well candidates communicated their story, understood the landscape, and prepared for the specific demands of each program.
Most candidates navigate this through scattered Reddit threads, outdated forum posts, and word of mouth. There was no single place that combined real program data, preparation tools, and honest guidance about what programs actually want. Boost CRNA was built to be that place.

Everything is organized around the four stages of the application journey — assess, build, track, and prepare. Most tools are free to start.
Free accounts get access to the program database, CRNA news, and read-only community access. Core and Pro plans unlock everything — the GPA calculator, unlimited resume reviews, advanced program filters, the application tracker, and early access to new tools as we build them.
What we’re here for — and what we’re not
Boost CRNA is a platform of tools and resources. We don’t coach you on what to say in interviews, put scripted answers in your mouth, or guarantee admission to any program. No one can guarantee that — and anyone who claims to should raise a red flag.
What we do is give you everything you need to figure it out yourself: real program data, AI-powered tools that surface your story and your clinical experience, and honest guidance on what programs actually look for. The work is still yours. We just make it a lot easier to do well.
We built this because we believe access to good information shouldn’t cost $1,000 or more. The core tools are free. Paid plans are a fraction of what coaching programs charge. We’ll never put basic program information behind a paywall — that information shouldn’t depend on your ability to pay.
The program database covers all 156 programs accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs (COA). We track GPA requirements, ICU minimums, program length, tuition, NursingCAS participation, and deadlines. Requirements change — always verify directly with each program. Found an error?
